THE STARGAZER 

Alone I sit in the pale moonlight

 Searching through its soft cool glow 

Anything's possible in the late dark night

 My mind races, where shall I go? 

Endless possibilities

That's what I see 

As the stars fly by twinkling at me

I think to myself, what will I be

Hoping for some little hint 

It's late, and still I gaze 

Eyes wide, with expectant glint 

Hoping to untangle the starry maze 

Every night

Like old friends from home 

They return and burn bright 

No matter how far I roam

 I am a Dreamer, Yes! 

 A Fool? Not so! 

My life will be rare and nothing less

No matter which direction I choose to go 

So alone I sit in the pale moonlight
